What We do
Emmaus is a ministry focused on sexual and relational wholeness through fostering intimacy with Jesus. We believe our outward behaviors and inward thought life can be driven by the experiences and identities this fallen world has served in our lives. Freedom is not found in an absence of undesired behaviors, but in the abundance of God's goodness bringing change to our lives. We are not a program; we are a ministry. We are not professional counselors; we are men who co-journey with men on the road to sexual sobriety and relational health using the Blood of the Lamb and the word of our testimonies. Across 4 FREE, 9-Week Sessions, we help you draw close to the Father Heart of God to meet your legitimate needs, and stop pursuing illegitimate wants.
Men that confess to or are discovered in sexual addiction (pornography, self-pleasure, compulsive sexual drive, extramarital sex, etc.), infidelity, and/or same-gender attraction are some of the men that may find help and hope in Emmaus. Though, we cannot fix anyone. We cannot make men healthy. They must choose Jesus and desire Him to see the benefit in our ministry. As they journey to intimacy with Jesus through open community, the work of the Holy Spirit brings freedom. It’s God’s goodness that leads to repentance, and our goal is to help men discover that goodness. We discover God’s true love together, even in the dark places of guilt and shame that our men have been living in.
